Strata — archived
This page is archived and read-only.
It was this domain's original form: a cross-section of the site's own formation, one
sediment layer per day, thickness from that day's traffic. Deposits are closed. The
layers still accrete, because traffic over the site is still real.
A drumlin is an elongated hill formed underneath a moving glacier — its long axis records
the direction the ice travelled. The ice is gone; the shape it left is the evidence. The
name outlasted the artwork, which is roughly what it was chosen to do.
